Triveni Digital to Share ATSC 3.0 Data Distribution Opportunities for Canada
at WABE Conference

PRINCETON, N.J. - November 14, 2023 Mark Corl, Senior VP of Emergent Technology Development, Triveni Digital

Triveni Digital today announced that the company’s senior vice president of emergent technology development, Mark Corl, will present an educational session on greenfield ATSC 3.0 opportunities at the Western Association of Broadcast Engineers (WABE) Conference. During the session, “A Greenfield of Opportunities for Canada,” attendees will learn about the variety of use cases for broadcast data distribution being explored and deployed in North America.

NEXTGEN TV trials are ramping up in Canada, with broadcasters exploring ATSC 3.0 as a unique technology for distributing all forms of content over broadcast,” said Corl. “At the WABE Conference, I’m excited to share how NEXTGEN TV benefits data distribution and acts as a powerful communication mechanism, bringing people without broadband connectivity into the fold.”

The talk will provide a brief description of the underlying capabilities of ATSC 3.0 that make it singularly able to deliver content, both in real time and non-real time, to large audiences efficiently and at low cost. Corl will focus on a variety of use cases for broadcast data distribution, including distance learning, broadcast positioning systems, first responder communications, and emergency alerts. The presentation will conclude with an exploration of technical details on how ATSC 3.0 can be deployed in a broadcast studio.

Corl is currently the chair of the ATSC 3.0 Specialist Group on Interactive Content, the ATSC Caribbean Implementation Team and the ATSC India Implementation Team, as well as a member of the ATSC board of directors. He will bring an unparalleled understanding of ATSC 3.0 and more than 25 years of experience in product engineering and architecture for broadcast television to the WABE Conference session.

Corl’s WABE Conference session will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pacific Standard Time in Vancouver, British Columbia. More information about the session and event registration details are available here.
