SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2013 Exhibitor Preview

Triveni Digital - Booth 1729

PRINCETON, N.J. - September 18, 2013

SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2013 marks the North American debut of Triveni Digital’s StreamScope® Portal, a portable, tablet-based MPEG analysis and monitoring tool, as well as its GuideBuilder® 5 metadata generation platform. Both products bring increased operational efficiencies and cost savings to complex DTV distribution plants, while ensuring a superior quality of service for television viewers.

Key Products

StreamScope® Portal Portable MPEG Analyzer

At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2013, Triveni Digital will demonstrate the comprehensive MPEG analysis and monitoring capabilities, amazing portability, and cost-effectiveness offered by its new StreamScope® Portal tablet-based analyzer. Through an ultra-personalized form factor and a variety of dongle-based input options, the powerful device helps engineers cost-effectively perform real-time, file-based MPEG-2/MPEG-4 analysis and monitoring of DTV transport streams on Gigabit Ethernet networks and other key interfaces. StreamScope Portal ensures that engineers working in complex DTV distribution plants can easily troubleshoot MPEG transport streams from anywhere in the plant. With the portable, compact, and low-cost tablet device, users can perform real-time analysis from remote locations, comply with industry standards, and deliver a higher QoS to viewers.

GuideBuilder® 5 Metadata Generation Platform

On display at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2013 will be Triveni Digital’s new GuideBuilder® 5 metadata generation platform. The fifth-generation GuideBuilder PSIP, SI, and mobile ESG generator delivers key usability and performance improvements to Triveni Digital's industry-leading metadata generation system. These enable broadcasters and cable operators to comply easily and cost-effectively with important FCC PSIP requirements, generate consistent metadata, and prevent errors to ensure a superior quality of experience for viewers.

GuideBuilder 5 optimizes the production of program guides and metadata through a simplified user interface, improved performance, and easy integration with a wide range of broadcast ecosystem elements, including multiplexers, encoders, automation systems, traffic systems, and listing services. It is available in a variety of configurations — including integrated servers, software intended for use on customer-supplied servers, Virtual Machine (VM)-compatible software, and as a cloud-based managed service — providing completely flexible support for any DTV provider's preferred deployment approach. By supporting ATSC PSIP, ATSC Mobile ESG, M-EAS, and DVB SI all in one system, GuideBuilder supports today's complex DTV distribution plants with a coherent architecture.
