Triveni Digital at the 2008 NAB Show
PRINCETON, NJ - January 31, 2008
StreamScope™ — Enterprise Monitor (EM-40)
At the 2008 NAB Show, Triveni Digital will debut its new StreamScope™ Enterprise Monitor (EM-40) enterprise-wide service quality assurance solution. The StreamScope EM-40 is aimed at proactive, real-time, service-based response. It proactively detects, localizes, analyzes, isolates, and remedies faults impacting video services based on predefined rules. This will allow broadcasters, service providers, and IPTV networks to reduce customer down-time and complaint response costs by providing the user full remote analysis capabilities of any monitored streams. Alarms are generated when a transport stream has fallen outside a specified configuration. Integrated trend analysis enables engineering staff to analyze past issues. The StreamScope EM-40 ensures:
· Network integrity
· Video quality of service
· Viewer satisfaction
· Lower customer service costs, lower churn, higher revenues
StreamScope™ RM-40SE — MPEG Video Monitoring Solution
Triveni Digital adds the RM-40SE low-cost RF monitoring probe to its StreamScope™ test and measurement product line. The RM-40SE is a full-featured, in-depth, 24/7 unattended remote monitoring instrument that performs comprehensive MPEG video monitoring for real-time RF streams. The small form factor design is a powerful, user-friendly, low-cost monitoring solution that verifies DTV transport streams carried by service providers including broadcasters, cable, telcos, satellite, mobile TV and IPTV operators.
In addition to the well established standards supported by the StreamScope line, including ATSC, ATSC A/78, and ETR 101 290, Triveni Digital’s RM-40SE now also represents the first implementation of the new SCTE-142 (formerly HMS-158) standard.
The introduction of the EM-40 and the RM-40SE rounds up a complete monitoring solution focusing across the entire broadcast/broadband operation, whether on a local, regional, or national scale.
GuideBuilder™ — PSIP Solution
Addressing the 2009 digital switchover, the GuideBuilder™ solution adheres to the latest changes in the PSIP standard per the recent FCC R&O. New features include fully automated redundancy, enhancements to support centralized PSIP, and tight integration with multiplexers and automation systems. The GuideBuilder system provides mission-critical operational capabilities for both content providers and network operators by generating accurate PSIP data. PSIP is mandated by the FCC, forms the foundation for ATSC digital television transport streams, and is important for digital cable carriage of over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts. Errors in PSIP data can cause lapses in the DTV signal, problems with closed captioning, v-chip data, and errors with electronic program guides (EPG) — all significant concerns for broadcasters. GuideBuilder is also applicable in cable and IPTV networks in meeting their DTV signaling and EPG needs.
SkyScraper™ — Mobile DTV and Non-Real-Time Content Delivery Applications
Data broadcasting applications are created and deployed with Triveni Digital’s versatile SkyScraper™ content distribution platform. This latest iteration now enables the point-to-multipoint delivery of any digital content over mobile DTV networks which are either based on MPH or A-VSB. Content supported includes digital files, media streams, IP traffic, software downloads, and iTV programming. Applications include mobile DTV, B2B data delivery, digital signage, distance learning, homeland security, and push VOD. The SkyScraper product family supports a wide variety of receivers including wireless devices, set-top boxes, and LCD screens with integrated controllers. SkyScraper systems deployed in broadcast stations already cover more than 55 percent of U.S. households and can be upgraded easily to work in a mobile DTV environment.
Ensignia™ — Experience Digital Signage
Using digital signage networks, high quality content can be delivered to a given target audience for any number of potential uses, including houses of worship, retail displays and advertisements, education and training, emergency management, health care, or tourism outlets.
Triveni Digital’s Ensignia™ digital signage systems provide key advantages in reliability and scalability, reducing the deployment cost per site for large deployments. The company’s expertise and experience in the broadcast market enables digital signage providers to distribute live broadcasts utilizing the same infrastructure. As part of the overall solution, LG Electronics display screens with integrated controllers simplify installations and maintenance while reducing footprint requirements.
