Triveni Digital and NetTest Collaborate on a Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting Solution for Cable and Telco Networks
Service Providers Offering Digital Television Can Monitor MPEG Video Streams with the Enhanced CMA 5000
PRINCETON, NJ and UTICA, NY — September 7, 2005

Triveni Digital, a subsidiary of LG Electronics developing systems that provide for the management and distribution of data and metadata in digital television streams, and NetTest, a subsidiary of Anritsu Corporation and a global provider of operational support solutions for advanced and converged networks, announced today that the companies are collaborating to improve network monitoring and troubleshooting for service providers offering digital television over cable and telco networks. NetTest’s CMA 5000 multi-layer network test and measurement platform has been enhanced with features from Triveni Digital’s StreamScope™ MPEG transport stream analyzer. The system will be demonstrated at IBC2005 on Triveni Digital’s stand #3.154.

NetTest's CMA 5000 is the premier test and measurement solution for installing, commissioning and documenting fiber optic networks. Utilizing a common platform, the CMA 5000 provides complete testing for multiple network layers all at the touch of a single button. As a high performance, scalable solution, the CMA 5000 aids in accelerating the deployment of new services and optimizing network performance, while reducing the cost of measurement. By integrating software from Triveni Digital, the CMA 5000 will have the ability to monitor, measure, and analyze DTV streams and signals to ensure their integrity, reliability and compliance with MPEG-2, ATSC and SCTE standards. For operators delivering digital television over IP networks, this provides a valuable monitoring tool for real-time quality control.
