Sinclair Broadcast Group to Purchase Triveni Digital's GuideBuilder™ and StreamScope™ Products
Major Broadcast Group Plans to Deploy Dynamic PSIP and Stream Monitoring & Analysis Solutions

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced today that they will deploy Triveni Digital products as part of their conversion to digital TV. According to Del Parks, Sinclair's Vice President of Engineering and Operations, "Triveni Digital provides us with a very flexible PSIP solution. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., one of the largest and most diversified television broadcasting companies, currently owns and operates, programs, or provides sales services to 63 television stations in 40 markets. Sinclair will deploy Triveni Digital's industry-leading PSIP generation product GuideBuilder™ and the popular StreamScope™ ATSC transport stream monitor and analyzer.
The ATSC PSIP standard provides descriptive information about the ATSC transport stream, and powers a number of receiver features such as Electronic Program Guides, channel information displays, and "V-chip" functionality. Triveni Digital provides a full range of PSIP insertion products including GuideBuilder Lite, GuideBuilder Basic, and GuideBuilder Pro, which enables a broadcaster to optimize the level of investment in a PSIP solution. StreamScope combines in a single system the ability to monitor, measure, record, and analyze crucial properties of the ATSC broadcast stream. Triveni Digital will work closely with Harmonic to integrate its solutions with the Harmonic encoders being installed by Sinclair.
