Triveni Digital Introduces StreamScope MT-20-A First-Class TroubleShooting & Monitoring Solution For DTV BroadCasters
System Clarifies The Complex and Overwhelming Array of Information Broadcasters Need to Monitor and Analyze Their DTV Signals
Princeton Junction, NJ, April 23, 2001
Triveni Digital, the leading solutions provider of high performance and real-time digital television (DTV) datacasting solutions today introduced the StreamScope MT-20 monitor and analyzer for real-time or recorded digital television (DTV) transport streams. Complex, evolving ATSC standards for DTV, data services and interactive TV applications make the integrity and reliability of the DTV transport stream critical to success. As new digitally-based business models emerge, consumers will depend more than ever on broadcasters to deliver a perfect signal. Triveni Digital's StreamScope gives digital television broadcasters the information they need to ensure that their signals are error-free, quickly, accurately and cost-effectively.
Triveni Digital created StreamScope to assist television broadcaster's in their transition from analog to digital. StreamScope monitors the overall status of the MPEG-2 transport stream in real-time, troubleshoots and, records and analyzes crucial properties of the ATSC broadcast stream displaying the data on an easy-to-use graphical interface. StreamScope lists PSIP and MPEG-2 system tables, analyzes them for consistency and compliance with standards and displays an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) for easy verification. Triveni Digital's feature-rich StreamScope lists virtual channels, elementary streams, PSIP tables and packet identifiers (PIDs) in a transport stream. StreamScope enables the systems operator to play audio and video side by side with real-time analytical data, and analyze a competitor's signals. StreamScope shows the ratio of audio, video, data and null packets in the stream by way of program or PID. Video and audio buffer graphs show the content of buffers when they exceed ATSC and MPEG-2 specifications. Triggered recording and alarms respond instantaneously and indicates when stream properties do not comply with ATSC standards and/or exceed any user-defined thresholds. Most of all, StreamScope is easy to use and understand with no more than basic knowledge of computers and ATSC DTV standards.
