SkyScraper Data Broadcasting System for Digital Television
The Triveni Digital SkyScraper data broadcast system provides a turnkey solution for broadcasters to profit from excess digital bandwidth by efficiently and reliably broadcasting large quantities of data in a secure end-to-end environment from information providers through broadcast stations to information customers. SkyScraper’s system includes head-end servers to manage the data flow from information providers to broadcast stations, and customer-site receivers to extract the data from the broadcast and make it available to end-users. SkyScraper works with a wide range of data receiver solutions to give information providers a cost-effective service for data distribution without the bandwidth limitations of the Internet while opening up new revenue streams for DTV broadcasters.
SkyScraper performs two critical functions in DTV broadcast operation:
DataFab collects and organizes content, and prepares data broadcast schedules.
DataHub allocates bandwidth, manages multiple data feeds to insert data into the broadcast stream.
DataReceiver automatically decrypts any encrypted items which the subscriber is entitled to receive and monitors which items have already arrived and been extracted.
GuideBuilder PSIP Metadata Generation System for DTV Broadcasters
Triveni Digital’s Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) bit stream generation system for DTV broadcasters collects, translates, manages and generates PSIP data into the ATSC A/65 format, ensuring compliance with ATSC standards. The system is designed to interface with a variety of program listing services and traffic systems. The incoming data is reviewed, modified, and encoded automatically into the outgoing ATSC A/65 stream. This stream is then fed to a multiplexor in a digital broadcast environment where it is multplexed with the audio, video and data streams to produce the ATSC transport stream. GuideBuilder's automated conversion capabilities enable DTV broadcast stations to generate, edit and manage PSIP data for compliance with ATSC standards while avoiding staff additions and expensive staff training.
StreamBridge Real-time Translator for PSIP Data in ATSC Transport Streams
Triveni Digital’s StreamBridge real time translator is the perfect solution for broadcast facilities retransmitting incoming ATSC DTV programs from satellite, cable, or over-the-air transmissions, in real-time. StreamBridge is a cost-effective, low-maintenance, around-the-clock "24/7" way to modify PSIP information and verify ATSC standards compliance… automatically. StreamBridge tests the incoming signal for ATSC PSIP table timing compliance and automatically logs errors. StreamBridge’s low maintenance and highly automated technology, makes it a versatile and easy-to-use DTV broadcasting tool.
StreamScope Real-time ATSC Transport Stream Monitor and Analyzer
Triveni Digital’s Windows-based StreamScope monitor and analyzer for real-time DTV transport streams records, monitors, measures and analyzes the DTV streams and signals and gives DTV broadcasters the information they need to ensure that their signals are error-free. Broadcasters can measure and monitor reception of their ATSC DTV signals and transport streams throughout their geographic coverage base, while ensuring compliance of their transport streams with ATSC standards. StreamScope’s easy to use format makes for easy operation and understanding with no more than a basic knowledge of computers and ATSC DTV standards.

Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)
Scientific American Frontiers Trials of PBS Enhanced Programming
Beginning March 27, the trials are the first digital terrestrial (over-the-air) broadcast of interactive TV enhancements using the Advanced Television Enhancement Forum (ATVEF) Transport Type B specification. ATVEF Transport B allows the enhanced content to be broadcast with the program, rather than requiring a connection to the Internet, thereby speeding up the delivery of the enhancements to the viewer.
Chyron
Interface Between Chyron's Lyric Television Graphics Authoring Software and Triveni's SkyScraper DTV Data Broadcast System
The two products working together allow for interactive TV enhancements, compliant with ATVEF transport-B specifications, to be authored and inserted live into the DTV broadcast stream. The Lyric-SkyScraper configuration of products takes advantage of Lyric's ability to not only drive on-air graphics systems for conventional analog TV broadcast, but to also create and insert (using the SkyScraper system) interactive enhancements for DTV. Chyron's Lyric creates ATVEF enhancements and triggers, and sends them to Triveni's SkyScraper system for processing, scheduling, and insertion of interactive content into the DTV signal.
Wavexpress
Demonstration of the Integration of SkyScraper with Wavexpress’ TVTonic Wavexpress TVTonic platform blends rich television programming with interactive Web content on one screen to give users the most participatory television experience possible.
